“Talent de bien faire”
(Prince Henry, the Navigator)
True to his maxim of “Talent de bien faire“ – “The desire to do well” - Prince Henry, the Navigator established Portugal as the leading seafaring nation at the beginning of the 15th century. The decisive factor for the success of his expeditions
was the consistent evaluation of the records of his expeditions, especially the log book, at the school of navigators that was expressly founded in Sagres.
